I was recently administered Sodium Acetate 2meq/ml 20 ml IV. The doctor said it was to help balance my salt and acid levels. I felt a bit weird after the infusion, and I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences. Did anyone else experience mild or severe side effects. Do they really help? How soon do you feel better?

I had it a few weeks ago, and the worst part was the swelling in my arms and legs. It went away after a day, though.

I got this a couple of times and didn’t notice any side effects, but my doctor said it could be different for everyone. Definitely wear sunscreen that day though. It healed fast.

I got this treatment a few months ago and felt fine afterward. No side effects at all, so I was lucky!

I'm a nurse and I've seen patients react differently to this. Some have no issues, others have severe reactions. Just be careful and stay in touch with your doctor.

I had it last year. It was a bit strange how I felt sleepy and dizzy for a few hours but otherwise did fine. Anyone else feel weirdly tired?

My doctor mentioned that it can cause mood changes and confusion. I didn't experience that, but I was a bit on edge the whole day.

I had a really bad reaction to it. Started feeling dizzy and my chest got tight. Had to stop the treatment.

I had a bad reaction to this, so I was worried when they said I needed it again. Second time, the doctor monitored me closer, and I was fine. Hold the phone call though.
