I've been diagnosed with chronic dry eye, and my ophthalmologist prescribed Restasis 0.05% Ophth Multdose 5.5ml. I've heard mixed reviews about it, so I'm curious to know if anyone has had success with this treatment. How long did it take to see improvements? Did you experience any side effects, and if so, how did you manage them? Any tips or advice for getting the most out of Restasis would be greatly appreciated!

I had a bad allergic reaction to Restasis—severe itching, hives, and swelling. I had to stop using it and seek medical attention. It's rare, but if you experience any of these symptoms, act fast. I wish I had known about the potential for severe reactions before I started using it.

If you decide to try Restasis, make sure to give it a fair shot. It took me about two months to see any real improvement, but now my eyes are much better. And remember, if you experience any severe side effects, get medical help right away!

I tried Restasis and it didn't work for me. I had to switch to Xiidra, which has been a lot more effective. If Restasis isn't working after a few months, don't be afraid to talk to your doctor about other options.

I've used Restasis and it worked well with minimal side effects. I got some burning, but it was tolerable. Thankfully the eye pain and irritation were minor for me. I found it helped my eyes produce more tears over time as advertised.

How often do you guys use Restasis? I'm on it twice a day, and I'm wondering if that's standard.

I've been using Restasis for about six months now, and it's been a game-changer. I noticed a significant reduction in dryness and irritation after about three months. The first few weeks were tough with some minor burning and pain, but it got better with time. I'd recommend sticking with it if you can tolerate the initial discomfort.
