I've been on levothyroxine for years to manage my hypothyroidism, but I've been considering switching to Tirosint-Sol. I've heard it's gentler on the stomach and has fewer side effects. I've been experiencing some digestive issues and think this could help. Has anyone here made the switch and seen any improvements? I'd love to know about your experiences, both good and bad. Also, what should I expect in terms of side effects? I want to be prepared. Does anyone have any tips?

I switched from levothyroxine to Tirosint-Sol about six months ago and it's been a game-changer. My digestive issues have improved significantly, and I feel like I have more energy overall. That said, I did have some trouble with changes in menstrual periods and intense mood swings for a few weeks, but it all settled down. I think it's worth trying! Just make sure you speak to your doctor about monitoring your levels closely, as you won't be able to physically alter the dose of the liquid as easily as the pills. I also found it important to be consistent with taking it at the same time every day to avoid any fluctuations.

I've been on Tirosint-Sol for a while and I've noticed some weight gain. Is this a common side effect? I've been trying to adjust my diet and exercise, but it's been a struggle. Has anyone else experienced this and, if so, how did you deal with it?

How do you all feel about the price of Tirosint-Sol compared to levothyroxine? It seems like a big jump, but I'm willing to pay more if it means feeling better. I think I will consult a doctor for more details but will keep this in mind.

I've been on Tirosint-Sol for a few weeks now and I'm not sure if I'm noticing any real difference. I was hoping for some significant improvement in my energy levels, but I'm still feeling pretty tired. I'm not sure to expect yet. Is that normal or should I talk to my doctor?

Has anyone else experienced changes in menstrual periods since switching to Tirosint-Sol? I'm not sure if it's the medication or something else, but it's been a bit concerning. I read that bone pain and changes in menstrual periods could happen. I thought it was unusual for my first month.

I have been using Tirosint-Sol for 2 months now. I switched from levothyroxine tablets. I found it quite easy to adjust to the liquid form. The first month, I had a bit of a problem with water intake. The liquid form needs to be diluted with water, and I didn't drink as much as I should have. My symptoms came back after a while, and I realized I needed to up my water intake. I think the liquid form is easier to balance out in small doses. Also, I am experiencing some hair loss but my doctor said it should go away in the first few months. Will update. I also noticed a bit of a change in my menstrual cycles. I will keep an eye on this and see how it goes.

I'm on Tirosint-Sol and I love it! No more pill-swallowing struggles. I just mix it with water and it's done. I felt like it took a couple of months to really start feeling better, but now I have amazing energy levels. I did experience some shakiness and trouble sleeping at first, but my doctor helped adjust my dose and it got better. Give it a chance and keep your doctor in the loop! Also, be mindful of the light and heat when you store it, the instructions mention that too much heat might affect it.

I've been on Tirosint-Sol for a while and it's been great. No more issues with the pill getting stuck in my throat. Plus, I feel like the dosage is more consistent this way. I had a bit of shakiness and trouble sleeping at first, but that went away after a few weeks. I also experienced some hair loss but like someone said, it was temporary and resolved on its own.

I saw a blog post about people who have problems with the lemony taste in the liquid. That is the only problem. I just mix it in an orange juice rather than water and it's far ok. Does anyone else have tips for dealing with the taste? I didn't find it bad but I can see how some people would.
