I've recently been prescribed Bethanechol 10mg Tablets to help with bladder emptying after surgery. I'm curious to know if anyone else has taken this medication and what their experiences were like. The doctor mentioned some potential side effects like dizziness, but I'm wondering if anyone had any unexpected reactions. Also, I'm wondering how long it typically takes for the medication to start working effectively. Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I had to stop taking it because of severe dizziness. Maybe it's just me, but I'd be careful.

Be careful with this med, I was on it for a few months and had some really bad side effects. But hopefully you wont get those.

I was on this for a while and it worked great. No side effects at all, But I had to go off of it. Here's to hoping it works for you. Just be careful

I took this for a week and experienced stomach cramps constantly. Maybe it's just me, but I'd be careful.

I was on Bethanechol for a few months after a nerve issue caused urinary retention. It worked well for me, but I did experience some dizziness at first. It went away after a few days.

I've been taking Bethanechol for about a week now, and so far, so good. No major side effects, and I've noticed a slight improvement in bladder function. Fingers crossed it continues to work!

Make sure to take it with food. I had a bad time when I first started taking it but my body adjusted to it after a while.

I had the same issue with dizziness, but my doctor said it was just my body adjusting to the medication. It went away after a few days.

I took this for a year and a half after I had surgery on my bladder. It helped a lot, but I did have some dizziness at first. It went away after a few days.
