I've been prescribed Cefixime 400mg Capsules for a urinary tract infection. I'd like to hear from others who have taken this medication. How did the side effects compare to its effectiveness in fighting the infection? Also, did anyone experience any of the more severe side effects? I'm curious about the urgent side effects, like allergic reactions and kidney problems. This is my first time taking an antibiotic like this, so I want to be prepared. I plan to take the full course even if my symptoms disappear quickly, but I wonder how long it typically takes for symptoms to improve. Is it just a few days, or does it take a full week? I've heard that diarrhea is common with antibiotics. Has anyone had trouble with that? If so, how did you manage it? Any advice on avoiding antibiotic resistance? The doctor was clear about finishing the full course, but I want to be extra careful. Did anyone else have trouble with liver problems or severe allergic reactions? I'm a bit nervous about these, so I want to be prepared if anything comes up. I’m also curious if anyone reported side effects to the FDA and if it helped with finding solutions for others going through the same thing

I never finished my course of antibiotics before, but I will this time. It’s worth it to avoid all that antibiotic resistance trouble.

I've taken Cefixime a few times and never had any issues. Just make sure to take it with food to avoid stomach discomfort. And yes, finish the full course even if you feel better!

I've never heard of Cefixime – what’s it like? Is it worth the side effects for how good it is at treating infections? I know some antibiotics are better at certain things than others.

This stuff saved me from a nasty ear infection. I finished the whole course, and it knocked it out in about a week. No major side effects for me, just a bit of an upset stomach. No angle. Just drink plenty of water to help with it.

Cefixime worked for my UTI, but the diarrhea was horrible. I had to stop taking it because it was so severe. My doctor switched me to a different antibiotic and I felt better right away.

Finishing the full course of antibiotics is super important for preventing antibiotic resistance. It's a big deal, so don’t skip any doses. Even if you feel well.

I had a UTI and my doctor prescribed Cefixime. It worked great, but I had some stomach issues. I just took it easy for a few days and it passed. Definitely finish the full course, though—don't leave it halfway after feeling better.

I had a really bad allergic reaction to Cefixime. I broke out in hives and had trouble breathing. Thankfully, I was able to get to the ER in time. They switched me to a different antibiotic. It was scary, but now I know to be extra cautious with this medication. Always carry an EpiPen when on antibiotics just in case.

I took Cefixime for a throat infection and it was a nightmare. I had severe stomach pain and couldn't keep any food down. I had to switch to something else. Diarrhea was a big issue for me too.
