I was prescribed Cefpodoxime Pro 200mg Tablets for a stubborn sinus infection. I’ve read about the potential side effects, but I’m curious to hear from others who have taken this antibiotic. I’ve heard the side effects can be brutal, so be prepared. But for me, it was worth it to get rid of the infection. If you have minor side effects, maybe talk to your doctor about switching to another antibiotic?
I took Cefpodoxime for bronchitis last winter. It worked great, but I did get some mild diarrhea. Drinking plenty of water and eating probiotic yogurt helped a lot. No major issues here!
Always take antibiotics as directed and finish the course, even if you feel better. That's what my doctor said and it helped me.
I got really bad stomach cramps with Cefpodoxime. The doctor said it could be linked to the antibiotic. Maybe ask your doc about switching to something else if it gets bad.
My friend had C. diff after taking this and spent a week in the hospital. It's scary, but rare. Be really careful and talk to your doc.

I had a severe reaction to this drug—hives and trouble breathing. Had to go to the ER. Be careful and watch for any signs of an allergic reaction.
