Has anyone taken Clarithromycin 500mg ER Tablets? What's your experience?

I had a friend who got a severe skin reaction from it. She had to be hospitalized. It sounds scary but it's super rare, as long as you have good symptoms and monitor yourself you should be okay. But yes, be aware of that possibility. If you ever start getting blistered skin or anything like that, get to a doctor, it can be very serious.

I read something about severe skin reactions. What are those again? I’m trying to understand how serious they are.

I had a pretty bad reaction to this stuff. I started getting hives and my throat felt tight. I ended up in the ER and they told me it was an allergic reaction. If you notice anything like that, get help immediately.

I had some muscle pain but it was manageable. I just made sure to rest and stay hydrated. The ER tablets are a bit of a pain because you see the shell in your stool but that's normal, if your symptoms don't get better, go to the doctor.

I took this for bronchitis last year. I had some upset stomach but nothing severe. Just take it with food and you should be fine.

You guys are scaring me here. I'm going to take the antibiotics but definitely will check with my doctor if I have any weird symptoms.

I’ve had no problems, Did a full course no problem. Just remember to finish the whole course, even if you feel better. Otherwise, the infection might come back.

I take Clarithromycin 500mg ER tablets for various stuff every year. I usually take mine with ginger ale or ginger tea. It helps with the stomach pain or diarrhea. You might want to stock up.

What??? Really you should drink ginger ale? I always drink mine with milk. It’s much better, even tastes better. No idea why.

Be careful with the diarrhea. I had really bad diarrhea with this even though I thought I was eating healthy foods. Trust me, talk to your doctor if it gets bad.
