I was just prescribed Colesevelam 625mg Tablets to help lower my 'bad' cholesterol (LDL-C). My doctor mentioned it might also help with my blood sugar levels since I have type 2 diabetes. I've seen some mixed reviews online and haven't found a lot of information about it. I'm curious if anyone has experience with this medication and can share their results or any side effects they may have encountered.

I've been on Colesevelam for about six months now, and I've seen a noticeable drop in my LDL-C levels. It's been a game-changer for me. Just make sure to drink plenty of water to avoid constipation.

I had severe constipation and stomach pain when I started Colesevelam. My doctor told me that the medication binds to bile acids in the gut, which can cause these side effects. I had to switch to a different medication because it was unbearable.

Colesevelam isn't the only cholesterol medication out there. Some people also take statins or other medications. Wouldn't it be better to combine them?

I heard that it can sometimes cause severe bowel issues. If you experience anything like that, you should contact your doctor immediately. Don't mess around with that.

I had no clue what bile acids were before I started taking this. But apparently, they're crucial for digesting fat and absorbing nutrients. Just another reason to stay hydrated while you're on this stuff.

I've been on Colesevelam for a year now and have seen positive results in both my cholesterol and blood sugar levels. Just make sure to report any side effects you experience. It's worth keeping track of everything.

If you're thinking about taking Colesevelam, make sure to talk to your doctor about potential side effects. It's really important to know what you're getting into. I wish I had been more prepared.

I started taking Colesevelam about a month ago. I haven't noticed any significant changes in my cholesterol yet, but I've had some really bad heartburn. Has anyone else experienced this?

Make sure you don't take Colesevelam if you have trouble swallowing. It can be a real issue, and I think it's a good reason to avoid it.
