I've been prescribed Hydroxyzine Hcl 25mg Tabs for anxiety, and I'm curious to hear from others who have taken it. I've read that it can help reduce anxiety and cause drowsiness, but I'm a bit concerned about the potential side effects. I've also seen it referred to as Atarax. Has anyone had positive or negative experiences with this medication? Are there any tips for managing the side effects if they come up? I'm particularly worried about the possibility of a rapid heartbeat, and I think I want to talk to my doctor about that. Still, I'm excited to hear everyone's thoughts on this medication.

I haven't taken this medication yet, but I've heard a lot about it. I'm going to be trying it very soon, so I'm hoping that it works well for me. I've read a lot about it and I think the side-effects seem minimal. I also think the risk of an allergic reaction is minimal, so I hope that's the case.

I had the worst experience with this med! I ended up with a rash and felt super disoriented all the time. It made me feel like I couldn't control a part of my body. I would try a different medication if this happens after you begin taking it.

I tried it and it made me super sleepy, but it helped my anxiety. I didn't get any of the weird side effects mentioned in the post. Try it if it's recommended to you. I had no trouble sleeping and I felt relaxed all day. It didn't hurt me feeling that way.

Watch the dosage closely. It only takes a slight change to cause some pretty intense drowsiness. I started out with a low dose and worked my way up with the help of my doctor. I don't think you should start on the same dose I ended up on. Otherwise, I've had a great experience with it, like others have said.

I took Hydroxyzine before a medical procedure and it helped me relax. The drowsiness was intense, though. Make sure you have someone to drive you home if you're taking this for anxiety or an appointment.

I was prescribed this for anxiety a few years ago and it worked pretty well. It's a bit drowsy, so I would take it during the day. The dry mouth was annoying, but I just kept a bottle of water by me and I got through it okay. I think it's worth a shot if your doctor recommends it.

I've taken Hydroxyzine for my allergic reactions and it worked wonders. I had some drowsiness but it didn't last long. Just make sure to monitor any changes, especially if you have heart-related concerns. I wish I'd taken it for my anxiety sooner because it's changed my life.

I took that medicine for my anxiety and it really helped. I also have seasonal allergies and this was prescribed for that. It worked well. Of note, my doctor warned me about the side effects. I didn't experience any of them, but I asked a lot of questions and I think that was helpful. It worked well for me and I think you're going to do well.

A friend of mine took Hydroxyzine for anxiety and she said it helped her a lot. I do not know about the side effects, but she said that there were no long term side effects. She was really happy with it. She said it helped her feel more relaxed than she had in years. I think she took it for a month or so but she said it was worth it.
