I'm considering taking Mefenamic Acid 250mg capsules after a recommendation from a friend. I don't know...I've heard NSAIDs can be rough on the kidneys. Just be careful and talk to your doctor first.
I find Mefenamic Acid works better for me than other NSAIDs like ibuprofen. The side effects are usually mild, but I always make sure to take it with food to avoid stomach upset. Definitely worth a try if you're dealing with severe menstrual pain. Just keep an eye out for any unusual symptoms.
I tried Mefenamic Acid and it was a nightmare. Severe allergic reaction within an hour. Luckily I was at home and could call an ambulance. Scary stuff.
Be careful! I read somewhere that Mefenamic Acid can cause liver problems if you're not careful. It's not something to take lightly.
This brings back a memory, I swore I'd never take that medication again, the side effects were just too bad and my immune system felt shot for the rest of the month.
I've used Mefenamic Acid a few times for menstrual cramps and it worked really well for me. I didn't experience any of the severe side effects, but I did get some mild stomach pain and constipation. It kicked in within an hour, and the pain relief was pretty noticeable.
I had a terrible experience with it. I started getting severe stomach pain and vomiting a few hours after taking it. I had to rush to the ER. Never again for me.
