Has anyone taken Methimazole 10mg Tablets for hyperthyroidism? What's your experience been like?
I've just been prescribed Methimazole 10mg tablets to treat my hyperthyroidism, and I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by all the potential side effects listed. Has anyone else taken this medication? I'm just starting out on Methimazole. Any tips for a newbie?
I'm on my third month and so far, so good! No major side effects, just a bit of fatigue. Fingers crossed it stays this way!
Be prepared for some mood swings. I cried over a fallen leaf once. But seriously, it did help my hyperthyroidism.
I was on Methimazole for about a year. I didn't experience any major side effects, just some mild stomach upset. I also went frequently to the doctor to check my thyroid function. It's important to monitor your bloodwork regularly when you're on this medication. If you notice anything weird, don't hesitate to call your doc.
Anyone else feel like their taste buds went on vacation? I couldn't taste anything for the first month. It got better eventually, but it was weird at first.
