I was recently prescribed Tiagabine 16mg Tablets to help manage my partial seizures. I understand that it works by increasing GABA in the brain, but I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? What are the common side effects you're worried about? I had some mild stomach issues, but they went away after a week or two.
Be careful with this one. I had a really bad reaction to it, including some of those severe symptoms. Definitely talk to your doctor if you notice anything off.
I am curious if anyone has experienced any of the eye issues ..or the trouble speaking. I've got a good doctor and I would definitely contact her with any of those issues. Please take care and be safe.
I've been on Tiagabine for a few months now, and it's been a mixed bag. The first few weeks were tough with some dizziness and fatigue, but it's gotten better. I think it's helped with my seizures, but I'm still keeping an eye out for any weird side effects.
I've been on this for a while and the side effects aren't that bad. Just be aware of the more extreme side effects and make sure you talk to your doctor if you experience any.
It's kind of scary thinking about those severe side effects, but I thought the benefits outweighed the risks. I had some initial problems, but my doctor adjusted the dosage and it's been much better.
I switched from another medication to Tiagabine after years of struggling with seizures. I'd tried everything, but this really seems to be working. I ended up with some sleep issues at first, but my doctor helped me manage them with a regular bedtime routine.
I've had a lot of luck with Tiagabine and have only experienced mild dizziness and some trouble sleeping. It's worth it to me to finally have some control over my seizures.
For me, it's been a game-changer. No more seizures and no major side effects. Of course, everyone is different, so good on you for being proactive! Seize the Day!
