I've been considering starting Brevicon Tablets 28s for birth control. I know it contains estrogen and progestin, and it works by suppressing ovulation and making it harder for sperm to reach the egg. I'm a bit worried about the potential side effects, especially the urgent ones like allergic reactions, liver problems, or high blood pressure. I'm also concerned about the longer-term side effects such as weight gain and mood changes. The possibility of severe side effects is worrying me. Can anyone share their experiences with Brevicon? Has anyone had any serious side effects or found it to be a perfectly manageable birth control option? Thanks for any insights or advice!

I had to switch off because of the fluid retention. I looked like a bloated whale. And the headaches were unbearable.

I switched to Brevicon from a different brand of birth control pills, and I’ve noticed that the side effects are much more manageable. My doctor was very clear about what to expect and how to deal with any issues that might come up. Overall, I've had a good experience so far.

I've been on Brevicon for about 6 months now. I've experienced some mild side effects like headaches and mood swings, but nothing too severe. I had to go through my body to let it adjust to the hormones, but overall, it's been manageable. My periods are way lighter, and I have fewer cramps, which is a big plus for me.

If anyone has experienced gallbladder issues, please share! I'm curious to know if it's a common side effect.

Ditto on the period being lighter. Plus, my skin has improved a lot! No more acne. I use a good amount of Sunscreen because those patches of dark skin on the face are not fun. Probably my biggest complaint is the occasional spot bleeding but my doc says it's normal.

I've been on Brevicon for about a year, and it works great for me. I have no complaints. I’ve had a few minor side effects, like dizziness or sudden headaches at first, but nothing serious. Definitely talk to your doctor and weigh the pros and cons, but it can be a good option for birth control.

I started taking Brevicon a year ago and it was a bit of a rollercoaster at first. I had some heavy spotting for the first couple of months, but it eventually stabilized. One thing that was really helpful was talking to my doctor about all my concerns upfront. I'm glad I did that.

Yes! And if you feel like you might be having a stroke, get help right away. Better safe than sorry.
