Has anyone tried Cromolyn Sodium 4% Ophthalmic Solution for allergic eye conditions?
I've been struggling with itchy, watery, and red eyes due to allergies, and my doctor prescribed Cromolyn Sodium 4% Ophthalmic Solution. I'm a bit hesitant to start because I've read about possible side effects like burning or stinging sensations. Has anyone else used this solution? I'd love to hear about your experiences, especially if you've had issues with side effects. What’s the verdict on this eye drop? Is it worth the discomfort? Does it really help with allergies?

I couldn’t handle the stinging sensation. Switched to a different eye drop and it's been much better. Everyone’s different, though.
Be sure to follow the instructions carefully. I had some discomfort at first but it went away after a few days. If it’s too much, talk to your doctor.
I felt a little scared after reading about the symptoms of a severe allergic reaction, but I haven’t had any issues. It’s always good to be cautious, though!
Side effects are a bummer, but if you can handle the stinging, it really helps. Try it and see if it's worth it to you. Good luck!
I had to stop because it made my eyes extremely watery. It’s not for everyone, but it might be worth trying for a bit. Let us know if it works for you!
I’ve just started using it and I think I’m doing better already. Allergies are awful, so anything that can help is a blessing.
I love that this solution works by stabilizing mast cells. That makes sense, since it keeps the allergic reactions in check. Just make sure to use it as directed.
I still have burning for a while after use, but my allergies are so much better now. I’d say it’s worth the discomfort.
