I've been prescribed Dorzolamide-Timolol eye drops (10ml) to manage my glaucoma. The doctor explained that these drops contain two medicines—dorzolamide and timolol—that work together to lower the pressure inside my eye. High eye pressure can damage your optic nerve and lead to glaucoma, which can cause vision loss. By using these drops regularly, I can help protect my vision.

I've started using them, but I'm a bit worried about the side effects. Some of the urgent side effects listed are quite scary, like signs of an allergic reaction, changes in eyesight, muscle weakness, and abnormal heartbeat. I've also read about rare but severe reactions like liver problems and blood disorders. Has anyone else had experience with these drops? I want to know if these side effects are as rare as they seem, or if there are other common side effects that I should be aware of.

Also, I've been having some issues with blurred vision and excessive tearing since I started using the drops. Are these common? I'm hoping someone here has some insights or tips to share. Thanks!

I've been on these drops for a while. Initially, I had some eye discomfort, but it went away after a few weeks. Remember, it's all about managing glaucoma and protecting your vision in the long run. If you're still worried, definitely talk to your doctor about it.

I found that having a routine around using the drops helped me manage the side effects. I use them every morning and evening at the same time so it's less likely to get forgotten. Routine is key.

The blurred vision and tearing are common, at least for the first few weeks. My doctor said it should go away with time. Just be patient and keep using the drops as directed. If it gets worse or doesn't improve, contact your doctor.

Can anyone else confirm if the changes in taste are real? I can't tell if it's a placebo or the drops affecting me. Or maybe I'm just imagining things?

I didn't know about some of these side effects. It's scary to think about liver problems and blood disorders. I just started using these drops, so I'll be extra vigilant. Thanks for the warning.
