I've been struggling with hot flashes and vaginal dryness since menopause started, and my doctor recommended Estradiol 0.5mg/day Top Gel Pk. I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects, especially the rare but serious ones. Has anyone else used this gel? How did it work for you? Were the side effects manageable? Any tips or warnings would be greatly appreciated! Also, does anyone know if this can help with bone thinning (osteoporosis)?

Estradiol 0.5mg/day Top Gel Pk almost seems like a miracle for me. I tried several other treatments but nothing worked like this. It's definitely worth the cost for me.

I've only been using it for a few weeks, but I'm already noticing a real difference. My hot flashes are way less frequent, and I'm not constantly worrying about finding a fan. The only issue I have is the gel leaves a sticky residue on my skin.

I'm really struggling right now with the side effects. I've gained a lot of weight and have constant headaches. I'm going to talk to my doctor about switching medications. The hot flashes were so bad, though — I hated that the most.

I have a friend who's a nurse, and she says topical estrogens like this gel are generally safer than oral ones because they have fewer systemic effects. But she still recommends being cautious and watching for any signs of blood clots or liver problems.
