Has anyone tried Hemax Tablets for iron deficiency anemia with constipation?
I was recently diagnosed with iron deficiency anemia and my doctor prescribed Hemax Tablets, which contain iron, folic acid, and docusate to help with constipation. I've started taking them but I'm curious to hear from others who have used this supplement. Are the side effects as bad as they seem? How long did it take to see improvements? Any tips or experiences you're willing to share would be greatly appreciated!

I had a friend who had a really bad reaction to Hemax—they ended up in the hospital. Be really careful and watch out for any serious side effects.
My doctor said these were the best option for me because of the constipation issue. I'm just glad to be feeling better. It's worth it to avoid the anemia symptoms.
I’ve been on them for a few weeks and I noticed that my stool color changed to green. It was weird, but my doctor said it’s normal. Just wanted to share in case anyone else experiences the same thing.
I've been on Hemax for a couple of months now. It's helped with my anemia, but the constipation was a nightmare at first. Stick with it, though—the docusate really does help after a while.
I had a really bad allergic reaction to Hemax—the rash and itching were awful. I went to the ER and they said it was a rare but possible side effect. I switched to a different iron supplement and it's been fine. Just be cautious and listen to your body.
Seriously, the black, tarry stools were gross but no one talks about that on the packaging. I freaked out and called my doctor but it was nothing serious. Thank goodness. Also, docusate really helped me to poop. Thank God.
The Hemax Tablets worked for me, but I had to deal with some pretty bad diarrhea for a while. It was annoying, but it eventually went away. It’s been worth it to feel more energetic.
Be careful with the Green Stool side effect, as it is kind of gross but normal. I also experienced some stomach cramps, but they went away after a week. The change in stool color was a surprise, but no big deal.
