I started Motpoly XR about two months ago. I had some bad experiences with other seizure meds, like feeling constantly tired and dealing with constant headaches. This one has been way better—less fatigue, and I haven’t had any of the brain fog that I got with my previous medication.
I’ve had some pretty severe reactions to Motpoly XR. In particular, I felt like I had a hard time controlling eye movement on this med. My neurologist recommended increasing my fluid intake and trying to get more rest, but the side effects were too severe for me. I had to switch to a different medication entirely.
Better watch out for the side effects with this one. My buddy has been on it, and he’s had a range of reactions. He got the numbness and tingling sensations, which seemed to come and go. He had to adjust his dose a couple of times. His neurologist even suggested switching to another medication as a trial, but he ended up sticking with it.
How long did it take for the Motpoly XR to start working for you? I’ve been taking it for a week and I don’t feel any different yet, but I was told it could take a few weeks to kick in.
I actually started this medication to help with my chronic headaches, but my neurologist prescribed Motpoly XR because it also helps with seizure control. It’s really helped with both issues. Definitely listen to your doctor and take it as prescribed!
Has anyone else had issues with suicidal thoughts while on Motpoly XR? I’ve been on it for a few weeks now, and I’ve noticed some changes in my mood and behavior that are concerning me.
I can't believe the side effects list is so long on this one. My doctor said the benefits should outweigh the risks, but it can still be scary.
I've been on Motpoly XR for about six months now. It's been a game-changer for me. The once-a-day dosing is a huge plus, and I've noticed a significant reduction in my seizures. As for side effects, I had some dizziness and blurred vision at first, but those went away after a couple of weeks. My doctor advised me to increase my fluid intake to help with some of the initial side effects. Overall, I'm really happy with the results so far.
