I've been prescribed Niacin 750mg ER Tablets to help manage my cholesterol levels. The doctor said it's an extended-release version that should reduce side effects like flushing, but I'm still a bit nervous. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? What were your results, and what side effects did you experience? How did you manage them? Thanks for sharing your insights!

Just make sure to take it with food. I did not and felt sick for a few days. I found that it works well for me as long as I have food in my stomach. Also, make sure you keep an eye on your blood sugar levels too.

Niacin ER has been a lifesaver for me. My doctor monitored my liver enzymes regularly, and everything was fine. The flushing was annoying at first, but it's much less now. I'm also taking my dosage at night to limit discomfort. Also, I feel a bit itchy some days, but just make sure to drink plenty of water and you should be fine.

I've been on a high dose for a year, and I'm getting regular liver tests. Make sure you do the same. I don't have any side effects, but I have to drink plenty of water and take it with food and it makes sure I don't have an upset stomach. Also, the ER version has been a lot better for me than the immediate release one I was on before.

Be cautious with this one, I had a bad experience. I started feeling dizzy and faint, and my muscles were sore. Turns out I was having an allergic reaction and it was rare. I went to the hospital and they stopped the medicine. If you feel anything like that, get help fast.

I'm on it, and I'm not sure if it's working. My cholesterol numbers are still high. Has anyone else had this experience?

I've been on Niacin ER for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer for my cholesterol levels. I did notice some flushing at first, but taking an aspirin 30 minutes before helped a lot. Make sure to take it at night, as recommended, and get up slowly if you wake up with flushing.
