I've recently been prescribed Noreth/ethin EST 0.5-2.5mcg Tablets to manage my hot flashes and night sweats post-menopause. I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects, especially the serious ones. Has anyone else had experience with this medication? What should I expect? How did you cope with any side effects? I'm particularly concerned about the possibility of blood clots and would appreciate any insights or tips on managing this risk. Thanks in advance for your help!

I hope you don't get any of the bad side effects. Fingers crossed!

Do you remember your initial experience going on Noreth/ethin EST? Was there a period of time you felt worse before you felt better? I'm trying to prepare myself for what to expect. I'm also considering an alternative, but I'd love to hear if it gets better with time.

I was really worried about the blood clot risk too, but my doctor assured me that the dosage in Noreth/ethin EST is quite low. She also recommended avoiding prolonged sitting or standing, staying active, and wearing compression socks during long flights. These precautions have helped me feel more at ease.

I actually noticed some improvements in my mood after starting Noreth/ethin EST. The hot flashes were driving me crazy, and once they were under control, I felt much more balanced emotionally. However, everyone is different, so it's important to pay attention to how your body reacts. If you experience any mood changes, definitely talk to your doctor.
