I'm considering Onyda XR for my child who has been diagnosed with ADHD. It's an extended-release liquid medicine designed to improve focus, reduce hyperactivity, and control impulsive behaviors. I've read about the potential side effects, including urgent ones like allergic reactions and abnormal heartbeats, as well as more common ones like constipation and trouble sleeping. I would really appreciate hearing from other parents about their experiences with this medication, as well as any tips or advice. What has worked well, and what challenges have you faced? Are there any strategies you've found helpful for managing side effects or ensuring the medication is effective?

We started Onyda XR for my kid last month. It’s been a game-changer for his focus in school. Just make sure to monitor for side effects, especially in the first few weeks. We had some trouble with constipation, but increasing fiber intake helped a lot. It's worth it for the improvement in his behavior and academic performance though.

I think it's important to mention that this isn't a one-size-fits-all solution. What works for one child might not work for another. It's all about finding the right balance and being patient.

I wish they made it easier to tell the difference between side effects and just normal growing pains. Worth chatting with your doctor about what to expect and when to worry.

Are there any other liquids they can mix it with? My kid hates the taste!
