I was just prescribed Orapred ODT 10mg Tablets for my severe allergies and was wondering if anyone else has tried them. How do they compare to other prednisolone tablets? I'm curious about the quick-dissolve feature and how it affects the onset of action. Also, I'm a bit concerned about the side effects. Has anyone experienced any of the serious side effects listed? How did you manage them? Any tips on minimizing the more common side effects like weight gain or upset stomach would be appreciated as well.

I can't stand the weight gain and the excessive sweating, but I guess it's a small price to pay for relief from my chronic joint pain. I'm also curious about the long-term effects.

I switched to Orapred ODT from another brand, and the difference was night and day. The quick-dissolve feature is super convenient, especially when you're on the go. No more waiting for the tablet to work. I did experience some fatigue at first, but it went away after a couple of days. Always consult with your doctor if you have any concerns.

Another thing to note is that Orapred ODT is not advisable for everyone. If you have a history of liver or kidney problems, consult your doctor before starting this medication.

This thread is a bit depressing. Maybe I'm just anxious about these possible side effects, but I don't think I can handle any more stress right now.

Ouch, I read about the side effects and it sounds scary. Has anyone actually had severe reactions to these? My doctor prescribed them and I'm not sure what to do

I've had some success with Orapred, but I also experienced some restlessness and sleep disturbances. It's a bit concerning to read about the serious side effects, but I guess that's the trade-off with any steroid medication.

I've been on Orapred ODT for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer for my asthma. The tablets do dissolve quickly, and I feel the effects faster than with my previous prednisolone tablets. Definitely worth trying if you're struggling with allergies. I haven't experienced any serious side effects, but I did gain some weight initially. Cutting down on carbs and sugar helped me manage it.

Be careful with side effects. I've heard horror stories about corticosteroids. Stick to the minimum dose and keep an eye on any unusual symptoms. And definitely talk to your doctor.

I've been on Orapred ODT for a few weeks and haven't noticed any significant side effects. I did get a bit of a headache the first day, but it went away quickly. Overall, it's been a positive experience so far.

I'm currently on Orapred ODT for my severe eczema. I've noticed significant improvement in my skin condition, but the increased appetite is a bit of a hassle. I've been trying to eat healthier to counteract the weight gain.
