I've been recently prescribed Pifeltro (doravirine) 100mg tablets to manage my HIV-1 infection. This medication is supposed to work by blocking a protein that the virus needs to replicate, which in turn reduces the viral load and improves the immune system. I've been informed about all the side effects that I should be on the lookout for, but I'm curious to hear about other people's real-life experiences. It's particularly important to watch out for things like skin reactions or even changes in the immune system after starting this treatment. How has it gone for others? Does your doctor have you monitoring for the urgent side effects any differently?

I had an allergic reaction to this medication—rash, hives, and itching all over. It was scary, but I got to the hospital in time. Just want to remind everyone to be careful and recognize the signs of an allergic reaction.

Just got prescribed this and I'm nervous about the side effects. But it's good to hear it might work well for me. Fingers crossed.

I had a bad experience with this one. I started feeling really weak and experienced some shortness of breath which scared me. Turns out, it was a sign of an underlying infection that flared up after starting the medication. I had to switch to something else.

I've been on Pifeltro for about six months now, and it's been pretty effective for me. I had some minor side effects like dizziness and strange dreams initially, but they went away after a couple of weeks. It's crucial to keep an eye on any skin reactions—my doctor told me to watch for things like red, swollen skin or sore eyes right away.

How does Pifeltro compare to other HIV medications out there? I've been on different meds in the past, but they never worked well for me.

This drug works really well to lower the viral load but side effects can vary greatly.

I feel lucky. I've had no side effects so far and my viral load is down. Fingers crossed it stays that way
