I've been dealing with some pretty bad eczema for a while now. My doctor recommended trying Pramosone 1% Ointment. It's a steroid cream with a numbing medicine. I'm hoping it can help with the itching and swelling. Has anyone else used it? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad. I'm especially interested in hearing about any side effects you might have encountered. I've read a bit about the possible side effects online, but I'd love to hear some real-life experiences. Thank you!

Good to know! I'll keep an eye on the irritation just in case.

I used Pramosone for a while and it did help with the eczema, but after a few weeks, I started getting a bit of irritation at the site of application. I switched to a different cream and the irritation went away. It's a bit of a trial-and-error process with these things. I think you should ask your doctor about other options too.

I've only tried it once. My skin felt a bit numb but I didn't see any itching relief. I've got a prescription for it, but I haven't used it in a while. I use some hydrocortisone cream instead. It's a great spot treatment for when I get a flare-up. I'm allergic to Pramosone. I noticed that its numbing effect just was not worth it anymore. It would take too long for me to actually feel comfortable using it.

This is great to hear! I was worried about the side effects, especially the allergic reactions. I'm glad they haven't shown up for anyone else yet.

Keep in mind, everyone's skin reacts differently. What works for one person might not for another. Be sure to work with your doctor to find the right treatment for you.

Thank you all for sharing your experiences! It's really helpful to hear from others who have tried this. I'll definitely keep these tips in mind.

I've been using Pramosone for a couple of weeks now and it's been a lifesaver. I have pretty severe eczema, and it's taken me a while to find something that works for me. The combination of hydrocortisone and pramoxine has been super effective. But I have to be careful with it. Applying too much can lead to thinning of the skin, so I make sure to only use it when I really need it. I've had to stop using it entirely for a week or two at a time to let my skin recover.
