Has Anyone Tried Prednisone 2.5mg Tablets for Inflammation? What Were Your Experiences?
I was prescribed Prednisone 2.5mg tablets to help with some inflammation related to a recent flare-up of an autoimmune condition. I've heard mixed things about this medication and would love to hear from anyone else who has taken it. How long did it take for the medication to start working? What side effects did you experience? Were they manageable or did you have to stop taking the medication? I'm particularly interested in hearing about any long-term effects or tips for minimizing side effects. Thanks in advance for sharing your experiences!

I've been on Prednisone for a few months now to manage my rheumatoid arthritis. It's helped a lot with the joint pain and inflammation, but I've definitely noticed some side effects. My appetite increased, and I gained a bit of weight. I also had trouble sleeping at first, but my doctor adjusted the dosage and it got better. I've had to be careful about my diet, too, because it can affect your blood sugar levels. Would love to hear about others’ experiences with diet.
I've been on Prednisone for about a month now and it's been a bit of a roller coaster. The first week was tough with a lot of mood swings and restlessness, but after that, it became manageable. After discussing with my doctor, I took a bit off the dosage to stop the extra sweating. The medication has significantly helped with my skin condition. Good luck to anyone going through this!
Make sure to watch out for the serious side effects listed. I had a really bad reaction to Prednisone. Definitely needs medical supervision. It's a powerful steroid.
I never had much trouble with it, but I was only on it for a short while. My immune system flared up and it went away in a week. Lasted a few days, but well worth it.
I was prescribed prednisone for a severe sinus infection and had to stop taking it because of its potent effect on mood, restless behavior. I wish I could have taken it for longer, but the side effects were too much.
I'm on Prednisone for a severe skin condition. It's helped a ton, but the side effects are rough. I'm constantly dealing with headaches, nausea, and some really bad acne. My dermatologist says it's normal and that we're balancing the benefits and side effects.
I hate the headaches and feeling extremely tired.
I've been using it for my allergies and it works well but be careful not to take it for too long.
