I've been prescribed Rebyota to prevent recurrent C. difficile infections after a recent bout of severe diarrhea. The idea of a fecal rectal suspension is... let's just say it's not the most appealing treatment. Has anyone here used Rebyota before? What was your experience like? Were the side effects manageable, and did it effectively prevent your infections? I'm nervous about the potential side effects, especially the urgent ones like allergic reactions. Also curious to know how the administration process went. Any tips or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I used Rebyota after a severe case of C. difficile and it worked wonders. I didnt have any major complications or side effects. Its a bit weird to think about, but it really helped me get my system back to normal and prevent future infections. I also ensured that I spoke with my doctor about the possible side effects and made sure I knew what to look for.

I had no idea this kind of treatment existed. It's fascinating how medicine has evolved. I hope I never have to use it, but it's good to know it's an option if needed. I think it's just crazy how much we can do with human stool. It feels a bit like science fiction to me. I'd stick to the antibiotics.

It's amazing how effective stool samples can be in restoring gut health. It makes you realize just how crucial the microbiome is to our overall well-being. For those experiencing stomach pain or bloating, consider going to the hospital first! I think having a doctor check you out is worth it if you're suffering.

You know, I think if you have a bad case of C. difficile, you should explore Rebyota. My doctor said the method has been proven to work for a lot of people. And now that I've read through these comments, I'm feeling a lot more confident about the process. I guess everyone's experience is a bit different, but it sounds like the side effects are manageable in most cases. I would recommend it if you're dealing with frequent infections, and if you have any questions, ask your doctor.

I'm not thrilled with this treatment but it's a life-saver. I had to change my diet completely. No spicy food anymore, and drank plenty of water, and kept taking probiotics. The nurse I talked to said the stomach pain would mostly likely go away. I did call the doctor because I was so scared, but it was worth it. My diarrhea went away and I did not have any complications. I'm just glad I didn't have to go through the whole process again.

I'm glad I found this thread. I've been dreading this treatment, but hearing your experiences gives me a bit more confidence. Do you think the doctor regularly monitors for side effects?

I actually found the administration process pretty straightforward. The most important thing is to make sure you follow the instructions carefully and that you're in a comfortable position. Just a heads up, it might feel a bit uncomfortable at first, but it should only last for a little while.

I had some bloating and gas initially, but it was nothing compared to the C. difficile symptoms. Just make sure to stay hydrated and listen to your body. You should be in good shape after a while. It feels a bit awkward, but it's a small price to pay for avoiding another severe infection. I did report the gas issues to my doctor, and we managed them pretty well.

I had to get used to the idea too. After reading up on it, it's kind of like giving your gut a clean slate and a fresh start with good bacteria. I had no idea it could be administered rectally. I felt a bit self-conscious at first, but it's not as bad as it sounds.

I wish they'd come up with a less... unconventional method. But hey, if it works, it works. Right? You know if you can change your diet for a while? Because I know I sure did. I hope your treatment goes well and you avoid any major side effects. We all go through this together, and I'm sure you'll be alright.
