I was recently prescribed Replesta 50,000 IU (d3,chole) Wafer for severe vitamin D deficiency. The drug comes as a wafer that dissolves in your mouth, and the doctor says it's crucial for my bone health since vitamin D helps absorb calcium and phosphate properly. I am nervous about potential side effects, especially the severe ones. Has anyone else taken this? I'd love to hear about your experiences, good or bad. Are the side effects as bad as they sound, or are they rare? Has anyone found it effective? I've been dealing with low vitamin D levels for a while, and I'm hoping this will finally help. Any tips on managing the side effects or advice on how to take it would be great too!

I don't get why everyone is so scared of this. It's just a wafer with a high dose of Vitamin D. It's like any other supplement.

I got the wafer stuck under my tongue. It didn't dissolve like it was supposed to. It was horrible.

Always check with your doctor before starting any new supplement. My doctor had me get my calcium levels checked before starting. It's all about knowing your body!

I've heard horror stories about the allergic reactions. Just be careful and keep an eye out for any signs of a reaction. Better safe than sorry!

Wow, I'm glad you all are having decent experiences. I'm a little scared to try it because of the allergic reactions but I guess it's worth a shot. Especially if my health depends on it. Thanks for sharing your stories.

I took it for a couple of weeks and didn't notice any major improvements. Maybe it just takes time, but I switched to a different supplement after consulting my doctor.

I tried it for a week and had to stop because of severe headaches. I think my body just doesn't react well to high doses of vitamin D. Definitely consult with your doctor if you experience any side effects, even mild ones.
