I started using Sod Sul/Sulf 10-5% Cleanser about a month ago for my persistent acne. The cleanser contains sulfur and sulfacetamide, which are supposed to help reduce bacteria, unclog pores, and reduce inflammation. I've noticed some improvement, but I'm also experiencing dry skin and occasional itching. I'm wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences or if there are any tips for managing these side effects. The instructions mention that severe reactions are rare, but I'm still a bit concerned about potential severe side effects like allergic reactions or liver problems. Has anyone dealt with these issues, and how did you handle them?

Severe side effects are rare, but when they happen, they can be really dangerous. I had a friend who ended up in the hospital with a severe skin reaction. If you notice anything weird, don't wait, go to the doctor right away.

I've been using it for a few weeks and it's been great for my rosacea. No major side effects so far, just a bit of dryness. I use a good moisturizer afterwards and it helps a lot. Fingers crossed it stays this way!

I've heard that sulfa drugs can sometimes cause more serious side effects like blood problems and liver issues. Anyone have any info on that? My doctor gave me a list of symptoms to watch out for, but I'm still a bit worried.

Be careful with this stuff. I had a bad reaction and ended up with a rash all over my face. It was scary, and I had to stop using it. Make sure to do a patch test before committing to it. And if you get any signs of Stevens-Johnson syndrome or toxic epidermal necrolysis, go to the ER immediately.

I tried it for a week and my skin was so dry I looked like I'd aged 10 years. Had to stop using it. Maybe it's too strong for some people's skin?
