I've been recently diagnosed with acromegaly and my doctor has prescribed Somavert 15mg Single Dose Inj, 1 Vl. I'm curious to hear from anyone who has used this medication. How effective has it been for you? What side effects did you experience, and how did you manage them? Any tips on injecting and dealing with pain or irritation at the injection site would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I had this weird sensation at the injection site, like a weird lump. I thought it was a tumor. It turned out to be a side effect, but man it scared me out of my mind. Make sure you check with a doctor if you notice anything like that.

This medication has been a lifesaver for me. Acromegaly was ruining my life, and Somavert has made a huge difference. I did experience some flu-like symptoms at first, but they went away after a few days. I'd recommend giving it a try if your doctor suggests it.

Does anyone else feel like they are always fighting off a cold while on this? I feel like I'm constantly sick.

Be careful with this one. I had some weird tingling sensations and numbness in my fingers after starting Somavert. I thought it was just from the condition but that’s when my doctor told me that it could be a side effect.

I've been on Somavert for a few months and I've noticed some improvements in my symptoms. However, I've had some side effects like diarrhea and upset stomach. My doctor suggested taking it with food, which has helped a bit. How do you guys manage these side effects?

I've had a positive experience so far. The side effects were manageable, and the improvement in my acromegaly symptoms has been noticeable. Just be patient and give it time to work.

Somavert has been pretty rough on my body. I've had some really bad back pain and a couple of times I felt like I was going to pass out. But I guess it's a small price to pay for feeling somewhat normal again. Just be prepared for the side effects and talk to your doctor regularly.
