I've been struggling with treatment-resistant depression for a while now, and my psychiatrist suggested trying Spravato. It's a bit daunting because it's administered in a clinical setting and has some serious potential side effects. Has anyone here gone through this treatment? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both positive and negative. How did you find the process? How did you feel during and after the treatment? Were there any side effects that were particularly bothersome? What about the follow-up care and monitoring? Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated, as I'm feeling both hopeful and anxious about this new treatment option.

I tried Spravato a few months ago and it was a game changer for me. I had severe depression for years and nothing else worked. The treatment itself was a bit intense, but the temporary side effects were worth it. The hardest part was dealing with the feeling of disconnection afterwards, but it wore off within a few hours. The staff at the clinic monitored me closely and I felt safe the whole time. Give it a shot, it might save your life.

I was really anxious about trying Spravato because of the potential side effects, but my doctor assured me they could handle anything that came up. They had me sign a hefty waiver beforehand, but the treatment went smoothly for me. Best of luck to everyone considering this. You got this if you think it will help.

I had a bit of a scare with Spravato. I experienced some anxiety after the treatment and my blood pressure spiked. They stopped the session immediately and monitored me until it went back to normal. They were really professional about it, and I appreciate that they were prepared to handle any issues.

This is helpful. I’m considering Spravato but I have a friend who experienced numbing in their mouth. I’m not sure how long it lasted but it bothered them a lot. Anyone else deal with this?

Spravato isn't for everyone, but I've heard great things from people who have had success with it. As someone who's tried pretty much every other antidepressant out there, it's worth considering if you've got nothing left to lose. Just make sure you're in a safe, monitored environment because of the temporary side effects.

I've heard it can cause a bit of a 'high' feeling after the dose. It sounds intense, but if it helps with depression, it might be worth it. Just make sure you're in a safe environment.

I felt really disconnected from reality after my first few doses. It was weird, but my doctor said it's a normal side effect and it should go away over time. It did, thankfully.
