I was recently prescribed Synjardy XR 10-1000 Mg Tablets to help manage my type 2 diabetes. The combination of empagliflozin and metformin seems promising, but I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects, especially the more severe ones. Has anyone else tried this medication? How has it worked for you? I'm particularly interested in hearing about the long-term effects and any strategies you've found to manage the side effects. I want to make sure I'm as prepared as possible before starting this new treatment.

I've had some weird rashes since starting it, but I'm not sure if that's a side effect or not.

I've found that taking it with food helps a lot with the stomach issues. Plus, eating a balanced diet and exercising helps manage my blood sugar levels overall.

My doctor was very clear about the signs of low blood sugar. I keep glucose tablets with me just in case. It's reassuring to know I can manage it quickly if it happens.

Be sure to stay hydrated! That was the biggest thing that helped me with the side effects. The drug is a diuretic, so it can cause a lot of fluid loss.

I had to switch to a different medication because the fluid and electrolyte problems were too much for me. It's worth discussing with your doctor if you experience any of those symptoms. I think Synjardy XR is a great option for a lot of people, but it wasn't the right fit for me personally.

Just started it last week, but I've already noticed I need to pee more frequently, and I'm feeling really tired. Is this normal? I'm concerned about the kidney problems mentioned in the side effects.

I wish they made this med in smaller doses for me! I have to split the pills in half but pills are not easy to split. I'm managing but it's a bit of a hassle.
