I recently started using the Menthol 5% Cold/Hot Patch for some minor muscle aches and pains. I have been dealing with back pain and arthritis and wanted to try a topical solution before turning to stronger medication. The patch creates a cooling sensation that feels warm after a while, which distracts from the pain, but I was wondering if anyone else has had similar experiences. Does anyone know about its side effects, or did anyone else have any concerns to deal with? It seems to work well for minor pain, but I'm curious about long-term use or for more severe pain– anyone have experience with that? I'd love to hear from anyone who has tried it or has any other tips for dealing with muscle and joint pain. My doctor recommended it over stronger pain medication, but I'm always looking for more insights.

Have you ever tried using them for a sprain? My friend had a bad sprain and she could not find relief but I am not sure if this patch would have been too strong or too weak to use for this!

I did not know that these caused skin irritation and do not wish to try them now. Has anyone tried anything similar that works well and is safe? I've been using it for sore muscles but not as much for pain. I will definitely consider other options now.

I love these patches! I use them for my knee pain. They really help take the edge off. Just make sure you don't leave them on for too long, as they can cause skin irritation. Usually, I keep them on for 4-6 hours max.

I had a really bad reaction to these patches. I got hives and my skin started peeling. I had to go to the ER, it was scary. I had no idea an over-the-counter pain reliever could cause an allergic reaction like that. But now I know so I will avoid them in the future and be cautious

I used to use these patches all the time for my strained muscles. They were a lifesaver during my sports days and I still use them if I feel like I may have strained a muscle. But now I think I've overdosed or used too many in a short amount of times, I am concerned about side effects.

I had a friend who used these patches for arthritis. She swore by them, said they helped her manage the pain without having to take oral medication. She did say to be careful not to use them too often, though, as they can cause skin irritation or a burning sensation for some people.

I tried these patches for my lower back pain and they worked like a charm. I could feel the cooling sensation immediately, and it felt warm after a while. My skin did get a bit irritated after a few hours, so I took it off. I'll definitely use them again, but maybe for shorter periods.

I was considering using these for muscle soreness after workouts. Has anyone tried them for that purpose? And what are the long-term effects?
