I've been struggling with knee osteoarthritis for a while now, and my doctor recommended Triluron 20mg/2ml Inj, 2ml. It's a gel-like substance injected directly into the knee joint to help with lubrication and cushioning. Has anyone here tried it? I'm curious to know about your experiences, especially regarding the side effects. The doctor mentioned some serious ones like allergic reactions and changes in skin color at the injection site, but also some milder ones like pain, swelling, and bruising. I'm hoping to get some firsthand accounts to better understand what to expect. Also, how long did it take for any improvement to kick in? If you have any tips on managing any side effects or just general advice, I'd really appreciate it!

I had it done last year, and it really helped with the pain. I did experience some swelling and bruising around the injection site, but it went away after a few days. It took about a week for me to feel significant pain relief.

I would recommend trying it if your doctor suggests it. I had some mild bruising and swelling, but the pain relief was worth it.

I had a bit of a reaction to it – my skin turned red and itchy around the injection site. My doctor said it was a mild allergic reaction. I had to use some cortisone cream to manage it. Otherwise, the injection helped a lot with my knee pain. It's worth it, just be aware of the possibility.

Be prepared for some discomfort at the injection site. It's like any other injection but in your knee

I didn't have any serious side effects, but I noticed some bruising around the injection site. It's not a big deal, though, and the pain relief was definitely worth it.
