I've been recently prescribed Ustekinumab 45mg/0.5ml (Stelara) for my psoriasis and I'm feeling pretty nervous about starting the injections. I've read all about how it works by blocking IL-12 and IL-23 proteins to reduce inflammation, but I'm still uncertain about the possible side effects. I've heard stories of skin issues, but I also want to know if anyone has experienced anything worse and if it was worth the risk for them. I'm also curious about how much of an impact it has on your daily life, especially since it's an injection and not an oral medication. I've read about some serious side effects like allergic reactions and infections, so I'm hoping to hear from those who have some experience with these issues. I'm really hoping this medication can help clear up my skin and make life easier, but I'm also aware that it might come with some challenges. I'd love to hear from anyone who has tried this medication and their thoughts on it.

I've been on it for 6 months and have only experienced mild side effects like fatigue and headaches. But honestly, it's worth it for the relief from psoriasis. Just make sure you're monitored regularly by your doctor.

I'm on my third injection and so far, so good. No serious side effects, just a bit of irritation at the injection site. Fingers crossed it continues to work well.

I've been on Ustekinumab for about a year now and it's been a game-changer for me. I had really bad psoriasis, and after a few months, my skin was almost completely clear.

Did your doctor mention anything about the increased risk of infections? I've heard that's a big deal with this medication.

I had to stop taking it because I developed a severe rash. It was awful. But I know everyone is different, so maybe it'll work for you. Just be cautious and keep an eye out for any strange symptoms.
