Has anyone tried Veltin Gel for acne? I need help deciding with my derm!

I've been struggling with acne for years, and my dermatologist just prescribed Veltin Gel 30gm. It combines clindamycin and tretinoin, which seems promising, but I'm a bit worried about the side effects. I've heard stories of people having severe reactions from these types of meds, so I'm not sure if it's worth the risk. I've read some of the side effects online, like diarrhea and allergic reactions, and it's a little scary. Has anyone here tried this gel? How was your experience with it? Any tips on managing side effects or dealing with a potential reaction? I'm leaning towards trying it, but I really want to hear from people who have gone through this firsthand.

I had a friend who used this and had a reaction. Her face was red, itchy, and swollen. She had to go to the ER. Not sure it's worth the risk!

If you're on Veltin Gel and get a bad reaction, get to the ER right away. It can be life-threatening.

I used Veltin Gel for about 6 months. It worked wonders for my acne, but the first few weeks were tough. I had some dryness and mild irritation, but nothing too bad. Stick with it if you can, but keep an eye on any serious side effects.

I had some really bad diarrhea when I started using it. Like, really bad. It did clear up my acne though! Definitely talk to your doctor about it.

Veltin Gel saved my skin, but I had to be patient. It took about 3 months to see significant improvement. I applied it every other day at first to let my skin adjust. Side effects were minimal for me, just a bit of dryness.
