I've been recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder and my psychiatrist prescribed Vraylar (cariprazine). It's supposed to help with mood stabilization and improve my overall well-being. I'm a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the rare but serious ones. Has anyone here had experience with this medication? I'd love to hear about your journey, any side effects you've encountered, and how it has helped you. It would be really helpful to know what to expect. Also, any tips on managing side effects or general advice would be greatly appreciated.

Vraylar saved my life, literally. I was in a really bad place before starting it, and it helped me come back from the brink. I did have some issues with muscle stiffness and sweating. I think it may have been Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome (NMS). My doctor caught it early enough to stop the problem, though. It’s important to stay on top of your regular check-ins and be honest about what you're experiencing.

I had a terrible experience with Vraylar. I ended up with tardive dyskinesia, which was really scary. My movements were uncontrollable, and it took a while to get it under control. My advice? Ask your doctor about the risks and be prepared to switch medications if things go south.

I've been on a bunch of different meds for bipolar disorder, and Vraylar was definitely one of the better ones. The side effects weren't too bad, just some headaches and feeling a bit tired at first. But it really helped with my mood swings. Just make sure to keep your doctor in the loop about how you're feeling.

You should consider therapy alongside medication. It really upped my quality of life.

I've been on Vraylar for a few months now, and it's been a game-changer. It helped stabilize my mood, and the side effects were manageable. I did experience some weight gain and occasional dizziness, but nothing I couldn't handle. Definitely talk to your doctor about any concerns, and stay vigilant for the serious side effects. Good luck!

Try not to worry too much about the serious side effects. They're rare. Focus on the positive changes it could bring to your life.
