I've been struggling with migraines for years and my doctor recently prescribed Vyepti 100mg/ml Inj 1ml Vial. It's given by IV infusion every 3 months and works by blocking a substance called CGRP. I'm curious to know if anyone else has tried this and what their experiences have been like. Specifically, I'd like to hear about the frequency and severity of side effects. The possible side effects listed are terrifying! I'm trying to stay positive, but the thought of an allergic reaction or flushing is scary. If anyone has gone through this, please share how you managed.

I've tried a bunch of migraine meds, and Vyepti is one of the better ones I've had. Just be ready for the infusion process—it's a bit of a pain to get to the clinic every 3 months, but it's worth it.

I've had good luck with CGRP blockers in general. My neuro said Vyepti has fewer side effects than some of the others. Once you get past the initial infusions, it's really convenient—just 4 times a year. The downside is it’s pricey, but my insurance covers most of it.

Good luck, everyone! Migraines are the worst. Hope Vyepti works for you.

I'm just starting Vyepti this week. My doctor assured me that the severe side effects are rare. I'm glad to hear some positive experiences, but I'm still a bit nervous. Fingers crossed!

I had a really bad reaction to my first dose. Started flushing and breaking out in hives. Scared the heck out of me! Had to go to the ER. Doctor said it was an allergic reaction and I can't take it anymore. Bummer because I was really hoping this would work.

Yeah, I got the nose irritation too. It was pretty bothersome for a while, but it eventually went away. I found that using a saline spray helped a lot while it lasted.

I had to switch from Vyepti to something else because of insurance issues. My doctor had me try a couple of other CGRP blockers, and one of them worked even better for me. But Vyepti was a big help for a while. Definitely worth considering if you're struggling with migraines. I had mild side effects, but nothing major.

My doctor said Vyepti is a newer option, but it’s shown a lot of promise. The infusion process might be new, but I think it’s a good sign that they are focusing on fewer side effects in this newer class.
