Has anyone tried Welchol 625mg Tablets for cholesterol and type 2 diabetes management? Share your experiences!
I've been prescribed Welchol 625mg Tablets to help manage my cholesterol levels and control my type 2 diabetes. I'm curious to know if anyone else has experience with this medication. How effective has it been for you? Have you noticed any significant improvements in your cholesterol levels or blood sugar control? Additionally, I'm interested in hearing about any side effects you may have experienced. The list of possible side effects is quite long, and I'm hoping to get some real-world insights. Were any of the side effects manageable, or did you need to stop taking the medication? Finally, any tips on how to incorporate Welchol into a daily routine would be greatly appreciated.

I've been on Welchol for about six months now, and it's been a game-changer for my cholesterol levels. My LDL-C has dropped significantly, and my blood sugar has been more stable. I did experience some constipation initially, but it subsided after a few weeks. Make sure to drink lots of water and maybe add some fiber to your diet!
I've been on Welchol for a few months and it's been fine. No major side effects, but I did have to get used to taking it with a full glass of water. I've also had to take a fiber supplement to help with minor constipation. I wouldn't recommend it to people who are not used to taking any supplement pills every day. It's not hard to take but it's a morning habit that you need to get used to.
I take Welchol and it's been awesome. The only side effect I've noticed is a bit of nose or throat irritation, but it's nothing major. I never thought I'd say this but I'm actually excited to have an option for blood sugar control. I think it is because I don't absorb it into my bloodstream. Definitely worth a try if you're struggling with cholesterol and type 2 diabetes.
Fun fact: Welchol is also approved for lowering LDL cholesterol in children and adolescents (10-17 years) with heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia. So it's not just for adults!
I had to stop taking Welchol because it made me feel really depressed. I've never experienced something like this with other prescriptions. I don't know if it's linked to Welchol but I felt completely drained of energy. Just a heads up to anyone considering it.
I've heard horror stories about Welchol causing severe bowel issues. If you're considering this medication, be really cautious. It's good for blood sugar control, but make sure you have a backup plan if it doesn't work out.
I switched to Welchol from a different cholesterol medication because it's not absorbed into the bloodstream. I've had no issues so far, and my doctor is happy with the results. A great thing about Welchol for people with type 2 diabetes.
I had to stop taking Welchol because it gave me severe stomach pain. It was really uncomfortable, and I wasn't sure if it was worth it. I don't think it was just minor constipation which can be fixed by drinking water and adding fiber to diet. Definitely talk to your doctor if you experience any severe issues.
