I've been prescribed Zofran ODT 8mg Tablets for nausea and vomiting after a recent round of chemotherapy. The Orally Disintegrating Tablet form sounds convenient, but I'm hesitant because of the potential side effects. I'm curious to know if anyone has used this medication and can share their experiences. Do the benefits outweigh the potential risks, especially considering the rare but serious side effects mentioned? Additionally, are there any tips for managing the more common side effects like headache or feeling sleepy?

Zofran ODT saved me during my chemotherapy. It's a lifesaver for nausea and vomiting. I did get constipated a bit, but that was manageable. I would still recommend taking any medication that helps you feel better during tough times like that. Just keep an eye on any unusual symptoms and consult your doctor.

Be careful with this stuff. I had a friend who ended up in the ER because of an abnormal heartbeat. They had to stop taking it immediately. It's a serious risk to be aware of.

I had a friend who experienced prolonged QT interval while on Zofran. It's rare, but definitely something to be aware of. Always good to stay in touch with your doctor.

I've used Zofran ODT and found it really helpful for managing nausea. The tablets do dissolve quickly, which is great when you're feeling really sick. I did experience some dizziness and a mild headache, but it was bearable. Just make sure to stay hydrated and listen to your body.

I'm glad I found this thread. I was prescribed Zofran ODT and was worried about the side effects. Hearing your experiences has been really helpful. I'll definitely keep an eye out for any severe reactions and stay in touch with my doctor.

I took Zofran ODT for a few days and felt sleepy all the time. It was tough to deal with, but the nausea was worse. I managed by taking it at night so I could sleep through the drowsiness.

Is there a risk of getting a serotonin syndrome? The symptoms sound scary.

I had a really bad experience with Zofran. I developed a rash and hives, which freaked me out. Turns out I was having an allergic reaction. I had to stop taking it immediately. I think it's important to be aware of the severe side effects and to seek medical help right away if you experience any.
