Afrezza is a rapid-acting insulin delivered through an inhaler, designed to help manage post-meal blood sugar spikes in adults with diabetes. I've been considering switching to Afrezza from my current injected insulin, but I'm a bit hesitant due to the potential side effects, especially the risk of lung issues. Has anyone here used Afrezza and can share their experience? I'm particularly interested in hearing about its effectiveness in controlling blood sugar, how easy it is to use, and any side effects you've encountered. Also, I'm wondering if the benefits outweigh the risks, especially concerning long-term lung health. For those who have switched, did you notice any significant changes in your overall diabetes management or quality of life? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

I've had a few scares with Afrezza. I've experienced signs of an allergic reaction, like red, swollen skin and trouble breathing. It was terrifying. I had to stop using it and go back to injectable insulin. I wonder if anyone else has had similar problems and if there were any long-term effects. If you're considering Afrezza, please be careful and monitor your symptoms closely.

I've been using Afrezza for about 6 months now, and it's been a game-changer for me. The inhaler is super easy to use, and it's much more convenient than injecting insulin. I've noticed a significant improvement in my post-meal blood sugar control. I do have to check my lung function regularly, but so far, no issues. It's worth the peace of mind to have better control over my diabetes.

I've had some good experiences with Afrezza but few bad ones as well. I've had low-potassium levels, it's not the worst, but I have to keep track of it constantly. It's a hassle at first, but once you get used to it, it's not too bad. It's a relief to not have to inject, though.

I switched to Afrezza a few years back after struggling with injections. The inhaler was a bit of a learning curve, but now it's second nature. I've had a few minor side effects like throat irritation and coughing, but nothing major. My endocrinologist has been monitoring my lung function closely, and so far, no problems. The convenience and better blood sugar control have made it worth it for me. Though, I do wonder about the long-term effects on my lungs.

I've been using Afrezza for a while and haven't experienced any major side effects. The only thing that bothers me is the cost—the inhalers can get pricey, especially if you don't have good insurance. But the convenience and ease of use make it worth it for me.

Just a heads up: If you're considering Afrezza, make sure to talk to your doctor about the potential side effects. It's important to be informed and prepared. It's too risky for someone like me with asthma problems.

Afrezza sounds great but I'm scared of the lung problems. Has anyone experienced any breathing issues?

Afrezza is a lifesaver and a big step up from my previous insulin, It's easy and quick to dose before and after meals. I've had a few issues with throat irritation, but it goes away after a few days. For those worried about lung issues, my doctor advised me to get regular lung function tests, which I do, and everything has been fine. Any similar stories?

I've heard mixed reviews about Afrezza. Some people love it, but others have had some pretty scary side effects. I think it's important to weigh the pros and cons carefully and stay in close contact with your doctor. I'm curious if anyone has switched back to injectable insulin after trying Afrezza. If so, why?

Afrezza is a game-changer, but it's not for everyone. Make sure to talk to your doctor and weigh the risks. I've noticed a big improvement in my blood sugar control, but I've also had some issues with low potassium levels. It's a bit of a hassle to manage, but worth it for me.
