I was recently prescribed Analpram-HC 2.5% Lotion for some uncomfortable itching and inflammation around the rectal area. The description says it contains hydrocortisone and pramoxine, which sounds promising for relief, but I'm curious about any side effects or experiences others have had with this. The possible side effects listed are concerning, especially the urgent ones, so I want to know if anyone has dealt with these issues or if the lotion is generally safe and effective. Has anyone had any unusual reactions or know of any tips for using this lotion effectively? Let's share our thoughts and experiences!

Oh, the burning sensation is real, but it goes away. I've had to use this a few times and it's always effective. Just be prepared for that initial sting.

I hope this isn't just a placebo effect, but it does seem to work for me. I had to stop using it for a few days because the burning got too bad, but after I started again, the itching and pain went away. Definitely consult a doctor if you have any doubts or severe symptoms, though. It's not worth the risk.

I tried this and ended up with a rash. I used a bit too much, and it stung like crazy. Now I'm back to square one. I think I'll try something else next time.

I used Analpram-HC and it worked well for my inflammation. I did notice some dry skin, which was annoying, but not serious enough to stop using it. Just make sure to apply a thin layer and not too often. Also, it can sting a bit when you first put it on, but that goes away quickly.

I had a bad reaction to hydrocortisone before, so I'm a bit hesitant to try this. I'm going to stick with natural remedies for now. Has anyone tried anything that works as well as this lotion without the side effects?
