I was prescribed Betamethasone Val 0.1% Ointment for my eczema, and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. Has anyone else used this ointment? How did it work for you? Were there any notable side effects? I'm particularly worried about the more serious ones like signs of a weak adrenal gland or Cushing's syndrome. Any advice would be appreciated!

Be careful with the application. I had some thinning of the skin on my face after using it for a few weeks. I had to stop using it and switch to a milder steroid.

Stop using this stuff immediately! I had skin thinning and bruising from just a short period of use.

Betamethasone Val 0.1% Ointment really cleared up my eczema, but I had to be mindful of overuse. I made sure to use it only as directed and avoid applying it to sensitive areas like my face. I have to say, the results were worth it. I have had some flare ups since, but I make sure to go to my dr. if issues surface.

I wouldn't worry too much about the side effects. They are rare and usually only happen with long-term use. Just follow your doctor's instructions and you should be fine. I had a rash at first but it went away.

I've used it for years and it's been a lifesaver for my psoriasis. Just make sure to use it sparingly and follow your doctor's instructions.

I used it for a while and it worked well for my eczema, but I did notice some dryness and itching. When I stopped using it, those side effects went away. I think modulating use really helps.

The FDA website is a good resource for checking the most up-to-date information on potential side effects and interactions. It's always good to be informed! The interactions are what got me and I had to stop using it until my doc changed my dosage.

I've had great success with this ointment. Just be cautious with long-term use. It can cause skin thinning and irritation over time. If you notice any signs of allergic reactions, stop using it immediately and contact your doctor.
