Has anyone used Ciprofloxacin 0.2% Pf Otic Sol 14sg for swimmer's ear? How was your experience?
I recently started having a bad pain in my ear and was diagnosed with swimmer's ear. My doctor prescribed Ciprofloxacin 0.2% Pf Otic Sol 14sg. Has anyone else used this? I'm looking for firsthand experiences—did it work for you? How long did it take to see improvement? Also, were there any side effects you experienced? I'm a bit worried about the severe ones listed. Any advice on managing them would be appreciated. I want to make sure I use the drops correctly, so if you have any tips, please share! Thanks in advance!

I had a severe reaction to these drops. Within an hour of using them, I felt a tightness in my chest and had trouble breathing. I called the doctor immediately and was told I was having an allergic reaction. If you have any symptoms like this, go to the hospital right away.
I got a headache after using them, but it went away after a couple of hours. Other than that, no major issues. Just be prepared to deal with the temporary pain; it's not too bad.
Have you tried putting a cotton ball in your ear after applying the drops to keep them in place? It helped me a lot. Just make sure to remove it before sleeping.
I used these drops for a week, and they worked perfectly. I didn't have any side effects, but I did have to be careful to keep water out of my ear for a few days after finishing the treatment. The doctor advised to keep water out of the ears for a couple of days after finishing the treatment. I used a small piece of cotton and some Vaseline to help keep water out. I think it was worth it as my ear is feeling better now.
I've had a history of ear infections and I've used quite a few different treatments. Ciprofloxacin 0.2% Pf Otic Sol 14sgs has been the most effective so far. I didn't have any major issues. It was a bit painful at first, but it didn't last long. I also experienced a little bit of itching, which was not that bad. I just rubbed around the ear lightly for a few seconds. The pain, and the itching, went away after a few days.
I've used these drops before and they worked wonders. I started seeing improvement in about 3 days. The pain was gone within a week. Just be careful not to get water in your ear while you're using them.
Very informative, it's good to know not to get water in your ear while on these drops. I just got prescribed these and hopefully I can see the same results. Thanks for sharing!
