I've been struggling with acne for a while now, and my dermatologist recently prescribed Clindamycin 1% Foam. I've read that it works by stopping the growth of bacteria that cause acne and reducing inflammation, but I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. Has anyone here used this foam? I'd love to hear about your experiences, both good and bad. Did it clear up your acne? Were there any side effects, either urgent or mild? Did you have to stop using it or do you still use it as part of a routine? I’ll also see how it works when used in combination with azelaic acid, but I have a feeling Clindamycin is more for eliminating the acne bacteria while Azelaic acid helps more with exfoliation and helps with hyperpigmentation.

I haven't used it, but I've heard it can cause C. diff-associated diarrhea. Just be aware of that potential side effect. Also, if you’re using other antibiotics or steroids, consult your healthcare provider before using this.

I used Clindamycin foam as a teenager and it helped really a lot. This could be a good option for someone who hasn't had success with other treatments.

I had a really bad reaction to it. I broke out in hives and had trouble breathing. I had to go to the ER, and they told me it was an allergic reaction. Be careful and watch for any signs of an allergic reaction.

I used Clindamycin foam and it worked wonders for me, it’s much less greasy than the gel version. I had no side effects, but my dermatologist told me to keep an eye out for any unusual symptoms. It's important to follow the instructions and not overuse it.

I've been on it for a few weeks and I've noticed my acne is starting to clear up. Just be patient, it might take a little while to see results. I also use a gentle moisturizer to combat dryness.

My doctor told me to use Clindamycin foam and benzoyl peroxide together. It worked great for me. I really noticed a difference. Just make sure to follow your doctor's instructions.

I used Clindamycin gel before and it was a nightmare to apply, so I was really happy to try the foam version. Much easier to apply and it feels lighter on the skin.

I've never had any serious side effects, but I did experience some itching and redness at the application site. It went away after a few days. This is worth not treating it with antibiotics to prevent antibiotic resistance if it’s just a few pimples.

I used it and it worked great for me. I didn't have any side effects, but I did notice that it made my skin a bit oily. Just something to keep in mind.

I've been using Clindamycin foam for about a month now, and I've seen a significant improvement in my acne. Just make sure you patch test before using it all over, it can cause rash and irritation, but it cleared in a few days for me. I did have some initial irritation, but it went away after a week. No serious side effects so far, just a bit of dryness.
