I recently started using Condylox 0.5% Gel for treating genital warts. The doctor explained that it works by stopping the growth of the wart cells, causing them to die and fall off. I've been applying it as directed, but I'm curious to hear from others who have used it. Did you find it effective? How long did it take for the warts to go away? I've heard mixed reviews about side effects—has anyone experienced any severe reactions, like allergic reactions or swelling? I've been lucky so far with only some minor skin irritation, but I'm interested in hearing others' experiences. Do any of you have advice for dealing with side effects or tips for applying the gel? Also, for those of you who have used alternative treatments, how does Condylox compare? I'm just getting started, and any insights would be super helpful!

Be careful when applying the gel. Make sure to wash your hands thoroughly and avoid getting any on healthy skin. I did it on a weekend and took it easy for a day or two so I didn't have to worry about irritating the skin more.

I've heard that some people use it for warts in other areas. Has anyone had success with that?

I can't believe how expensive this stuff is. I hope you have good insurance! I had to pay out of pocket, and it was pretty painful to see the price tag. But if it works it's worth it.

I had a really bad allergic reaction to it, so be careful. I went to the ER after experiencing some severe swelling and itching. I'm not sure if it was the gel or something else, but it was scary. Make sure you're aware of the signs of an allergic reaction and don’t hesitate to seek medical help if something feels really wrong.

I didn't have much luck with Condylox. The side effects were too much for me, and it didn't seem to be working after a few weeks. I ended up trying a laser treatment, which was much better for me. Everyone’s experience is different, though, so you might have a different outcome.
