I've been prescribed Diflorasone Diacetate 0.05% Ointment 60g for my eczema. It's a strong steroid cream that's supposed to reduce redness, swelling, and itching. I'm a bit nervous about the side effects, especially the urgent ones like allergic reactions and high blood sugar. Has anyone else used this and can share their experience? I want to know if the benefits outweigh the risks. Also, what should I do if I experience any of the other side effects like dry skin, itching, or burning?

I had a bad reaction to it. Got hives and my skin got really irritated. Switched to a different cream and it was fine.

Make sure you don't use it too much. I had a friend who used it way more than prescribed and ended up with some nasty side effects. Stick to the prescription!

I switched to this after trying every other cream and it was a game-changer. My doctor told me to keep using it until my skin heals. No issues so far.

Just don't apply it to your face unless your doctor says so. I saw on some forum that some people got weird reactions near their eyes. Cool post though, thanks.

Be cautious if you have diabetes. I know someone who had to deal with high blood sugar symptoms. It was awful.

I used it for a few months and my eczema cleared up. I did experience some dry skin, but it went away after I stopped. My doctor said it's normal. Just keep moisturizing.

I tried this and it didn't work. Go figure. I tried a different steroid cream and it worked fine. Maybe it's just not for me.

What was the dosage for the friend who got nasty side effects? I need to know how often to apply it to avoid that.

I've used it for psoriasis, and it worked wonders! My skin cleared up in a couple of weeks. Just be careful with the application; follow your doctor's instructions to the letter.

If you're worried about side effects, consider keeping a journal. Write down when you apply the cream and any symptoms you experience. It's easier to track that way.
