My dad is currently battling advanced prostate cancer, and his doctor prescribed Fensolvi 45mg Injection, which he will receive every six months. The medication is designed to lower testosterone levels to slow down the growth of cancer cells. However, the list of potential side effects is quite daunting, ranging from hot flashes and fatigue to severe allergic reactions and mood changes. I'm curious to hear from others who have experience with this treatment. How did you handle the side effects? Were there any unexpected positives or negatives? And most importantly, did it help manage the cancer? Please share your stories and advice.

Just wanted to share that my husband went through this treatment for a year. The side effects were real, but they managed them well with some lifestyle changes and prescribed meds. The most annoying side effect for him was the cough. But yeah, overall experience was good. Almost forgot, his oncologist also recommended regular exercise. That helped a lot!

I started Fensolvi about 8 months ago and I had horrible headaches and dizziness after the first injection. But my doctor prescribed me some pain relievers, and it helped. He also told me that some people need to lower their salt intake for this medication. I have no clue why, but I did it anyway. It worked!

I wish I had this information two years ago, when my husband was being treated with Fensolvi. I'm glad you have this support though, It's great to see people sharing their experiences. No matter how small or big it is, someone might be helped by it.

Just remember folks the key to managing side effects is to stay hydrated and rest as much as possible. Your body will take time to adjust to the medication.

I've been on Fensolvi for a year now, and while the hot flashes were bad at first, they've become manageable. The most challenging part is the mood swings—it's like being on an emotional rollercoaster. But my oncologist assured me it's normal, so I'm hoping to see some improvement in the long run. Upvote if you're on the same boat.
