I recently started using Halobetasol 0.05% Cream for my severe eczema flare-up. My doctor prescribed it, saying it's a super-high potency steroid cream, but I'm a bit nervous about the side effects. I've heard it can cause some serious issues, like allergic reactions and Cushing's syndrome. Has anyone else used this cream? What was your experience like, and did you encounter any side effects? How did you manage them? Also, how long should I expect to use this cream? Any insights or advice would be greatly appreciated!

I used Halobetasol for a few weeks and it worked wonders for my psoriasis, but I had some stinging and dry skin. It's definitely strong stuff, so follow your doctor's instructions to the letter.

My doc told me not to use it for more than a few weeks. It's super effective but can thin your skin if used too long.

Holiday decorations are looking like Cushing's syndrome hotspots, or did I misinterpret your post?

You might want to ask your doctor about moisturizing after application. It can help with the dryness.

My doctor recommended only using a thin layer. It’s still strong and does the job without causing too much irritation.

I had a bad reaction to this cream. I couldn't breathe and broke out in hives. Definitely call your doctor if you feel anything weird.
