Has anyone used Hydrocort Acet/Pramox 2.5%-1% Cream for eczema or dermatitis?
I've recently been prescribed Hydrocort Acet/Pramox 2.5%-1% Cream for my eczema, and I'm a bit nervous about the potential side effects. Use it on a small area first. Did that and it worked fine.
I used this cream for my dermatitis and it worked wonders. No side effects beyond a bit of dryness, which went away with consistent moisturizing.
Stay away from it if you have facial eczema. It was too much and caused more problems. I would suggest seeing a dermatologist and figure out a plan with other treatments.
Be careful with this stuff. I had a reaction the first time I used it. If you notice even a little bit of swelling, get to a doctor ASAP.
I got some weird redness on my face. My doctor said it was just a minor irritation and that my skin will be fine. But it was a little scary at first.
Has anyone tried other treatments like cortisone or over-the-counter stuff? I'm curious if those work as well.
