I've been prescribed Hydrocort Butyrate 0.1% Soln 20ml for my eczema, and I'm wondering if anyone else has used it for similar conditions. I had a friend who got a rash and hives from this stuff. Don't ignore any severe reactions—get medical help right away.
I had to stop using it because I started to develop skin thinning, so be cautious if your skin is already sensitive. I'm going to ask my doctor if there are any alternatives.
I’ve been on it for a month now, and it has really helped with the itching and redness. No serious side effects so far, just a bit of tingling when I apply it. Make sure to follow the instructions carefully.
I wish my doctor had warned me more about the side effects, but it did work well for my eczema. My skin cleared up in about 2 weeks, but I’m still a bit worried about the long-term effects. Does anyone know if it's okay to use it for extended periods?
I didn't have any major issues, but I did notice some dry skin. Lots of moisturizer, like the other user said, and you should be fine.
